The Dharma Initiative Serves 'Banana Sundae Splits' - One Night Only!

Well, the short and round of it, there was an event last night at a swanky Los Angeles night club, hosted by The Dharma Initiative! This was a celebration for Lost fans who've stuck through the last five seasons, and are now being ushered into the sixth - and final - season, where we fans do hope that the most important, if not all, questions get answered. Well, in true Lost fashion, they give you the answers out in the open, but in a very cryptic way. Sterling Beaumon (who plays young Ben Linus) made an appearance and revealed a new website called actuallyitsketchup.com, telling partyers that they should check out the site when they get home in the wee hours of the morning.

This is the promotional poster for the event below, which, well, apparently, holds some clues. There's been speculation that there are a series of dots that are intended to be Morse code. I haven't really tried to figure out anything, but I would love to hear what you think you've found!

And the live photos of the event had this caption on the top:
“So, these are “hints.” Some will lead to physical places, some just take you to another website. But the end result, a.k.a. the coolest part of the fun, can be achieved just by s taying in your house. No need to stand up, get dressed and start flailing your arms to your waiting car, because everyone will have a chance to get to the end result, as long a s you’re online and stay tuned to this website. We’ll give you everything you need to know… and soon.”
I'm not entirely sure what that means, and I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for. Can anyone help? (Author's note: Although, I do enjoy the 'hatch' in the middle of the dancefloor, and how DJ AM's name in lights is in AC/DC font with the four-toed foot replacing the lightning bolt!)

Now, preceeding this event, Paul Scheer, whom Lost fans may remember as the 'velvet painting' artist who presented Damon and Carlton with a portrait of the two posing with a polar bear, intended to make more 'velvet paintings' and post them on his website for sale. There was a little bit of a stint whether Damon and Carlton threw it out, but the matter had been settled when he found it hanging on an office wall.

Now, tell me, would you throw out a painting like this:

from a guy like this?

Well, apparently, someone wasn't happy with his artwork. Paul had received a 'cease and desist' order from Ronie Midfew Arts (an anagram for Widmore Fine Arts!) for producing Lost-themed artwork. (Wonder what they would say about my necklaces!) However, since a meeting with a mysterious suited 'man in black' representing Ronie Midfew Arts (with a rather comical twist), Paul has managed to meet the man behind the curtain and develop a 'partnership' of sorts, something he wasn't able to talk about before the i's were crossed and t's were dotted ... oh, damn ... well, you know what I mean. This is the official 'announcement' from Widmo- ... I mean, Ronie Midfew Arts. Click on the image to read.

The final reveal? Original artwork! Here's the deal from damoncarltonandapolarbear.com:
"In celebration of LOST's final season and as a project of fan appreciation, 16 top designers and artists, who are also fans of the show, were commissioned to create artwork celebrating one of the series' most memorable, and unforgettable, "water cooler" moments. This ultimate "fan art" was then turned into labor intensive, hand-pulled screen prints, limited to an edition of just 300, with less than 200 available to the public through our websites. Each beautiful poster tells its own different story, allowing the fan to relive memorable and influential moments in an artistic manner, as the show's storied run comes to a close. Once this limited edition print has sold out, they will never be printed again. Celebrate the fandom, community and family created by one of televisions' greatest shows by hanging a little part of it's history, inspiration and influence on your wall."
The first artwork revealed is by Tim Doyle for 'The Numbers'. There are many people that have done some clever math, thinking that each piece represents an episode, with clues hidden in the paintings. Does this mean that the first episode will be about loveable Hugo Reyes? Take a look at this fine piece of art and think upon yourselves ...

Each piece of art will be on sale once they're revealed. You can purchase this piece for $50 from damoncarltonandapolarbear.com. Just be wary - each of these pieces are of limited print, and they'll NEVER be printed again! I think I just may invest in the right piece ...

And a word from our safety advisors, as posted on damoncarltonandapolarbear.com:
"If you're on this webpage, it means you're onto something very cool. We admit it. You got us. But, please keep in mind that you can participate right from your living room. Sometimes, it might even help not to go anywhere at all. But everything can happen for you, and you'll have a great experience, just staying at home watching our website(s). Which is cool. There is no alternate reality, just reality. And if you do find yourself wanting to go somewhere outside of your house because of this webpage, even after us telling you it's not necessary, no matter where you live, we ask you to be courteous, extremely safe and know we would never ask you to do anything against the law or that could put you or anyone else in harm's way. We would never ask you to trespass and just like your Driver's Ed teacher, we discourage speeding or any sort of unsafe driving. To sum it up, everyone has a chance to get what we got, no matter where you are, so let's keep it calm, people."

Play safe, everybody!
